Every now and then you get that one amazing puppy that takes your breath away. I was quite smitten with the entire litter from the get go and around 5 weeks the liver boy I had nicknamed Skunk had completely stolen my heart. He loved the kids, loved to work and had this super attentive personality. To top it off he also had beautiful structure and would stack so very easily. I soon found myself daydreaming of registered names and call names despite my policy of "no more boys"....until that fateful day.

A few weeks before the litter arrived I had sent Maiko to Colorado for some shows and it seems Karen and Clint Livingston both got bit by the field spaniel bug really bad. Clint had shown Field Spaniels as a junior and has always loved the breed. Karen simply fell in love with Maiko and her sweet personality. I was pleasantly surprised when Karen asked if I had any puppies available. I was beyond thrilled and wanted them to have the best puppy that would fit to what they were looking for. So I offered them the choice between Panda and Skunk.

As the weeks passed the pros and cons discussed Karen opted to take Skunk. For me it was thrilling and devastating all at the same time! I agreed with her choice and I knew that he would be a great fit for them but as a breeder its sometimes hard to let those really special puppies go. However, I know Clint and Karen would not only give him a loving home but he would have so many wonderful opportunities ahead of him.

Skunk now has the proper name of Apollo. Apollo absolutely loves their kids and gets along fabulously with their Brittanys.

In the summer of 2017 Apollo came back to Michigan to hang with us and to see if he had any potential to earn some titles. We started off in a few venues to see where he excelled at and like a Killara dog he took to multiple sports. In 5 short months he earned the lure coursing title, two barn hunt titles and a tracking dog title! We were thrilled with the attitude this boy has! We hope to bring him back in 2018 to pursue a few more titles!

In 2018 Apollo once again hit the show ring. This time he was handled by his boy Landon Livingston. Landon did an amazing job with first getting a 5 point major on Apollo at a supported entry. He then went to the Nationals where at the trailer show Apollo and Landon earned Winners Dog and another huge 5 point major. His Dad then took Apollo back into the ring and Apollo went Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over 28 males specials!

We look forward to Apollo's career as a specials and as a junior's dog with Landon!
NEWS FLASH Landon and Apollo earn their FIRST group placement at the Sporting Fanciers Show of New Mexico!
