If you are interested in a puppy from Killara it is best to contact us sooner than later and we can talk about the breed and discuss if we are the right breeder for you. We have only breed 1-2 litters a year so availability is very limited. Wait lists are not started until AFTER we confirm pregnancies. Our wait lists fill up very quickly.

​ All puppies undergo heart checks with a board certified Cardiologist Veterinarian . If a puppy murmur is heard we pay for an Echo ($300.00 test) to be done to ensure that your puppy's heart is fine. Doing an echo is only way to know for sure it truly is an innocent heart murmur at a young age. Please note regular vets are not trained cardiologist and can often miss heart murmurs. 

• All puppies are Micro-chipped with pre-paid AKC Reunite prior to going to their new homes!

• An eye check by a board-certified Ophthalmic Veterinarian

Please Note the National average price of a Field Spaniel is currently $2800-$4000 depending on breeder, location, age etc of the dog/puppy. Breeders invest a lot of time and money into their litters.  

About Our Breeding Program

Although Field Spaniels are a wonderful breed they are not for everyone. Please research the breed prior to deciding to add a field spaniel to your family. Talk to multiple breeders, ask questions and find a breeder that you are comfortable with. Gather information so that you can make an informed choice of where to get your new puppy. Remember getting a Field Spaniel puppy will be a 10-15 year commitment. Take the time to find the right breeder and Field Spaniel. 

Killara Field Spaniels strives to maintain Field Spaniels that not only adhere to the breed standard, but also demonstrate trainability, mental soundness and good health. Breeding stock will be chosen on these attributes as our goal is to maintain these fine qualities and blood lines that make this breed so unique and wonderful.

All puppies are raised in the home under close supervision with love and care. Between 3-16 days puppies are exposed to early neurological stimulation program. This program includes thermal and tactile stimulation. Studies have found by using an early neurological stimulation program that the pups mature at faster rates, perform better in problem solving tests, are more disease resistant and are better at handling stressful situations.

Socialization and training continues as the pups grow with the puppies being exposed to new places and situations to assure they grow into well-adjusted pets. We work with our puppies on a daily basis with activities that include grooming, stacking, crate training and housebreaking. People will be invited into the home to play with the pups as to socialize them further. At 8-10 weeks the puppies will undergo a Puppy Aptitude Test and structural evaluation to determine proper placement of puppies.

All puppies are sold on a contract. The puppies’ temperament, structure and trainability are all taken into consideration when placing puppies. The new owners will receive a binder that includes but not limited to: a copy of the eye check, heart check, records of veterinary care, microchip information and registration form, health certificate, AKC papers, instructions on grooming and daily care, & other additional information. We also strive to maintain contact with owners to offer support and advice during the life time of your Field.

Over-seas exports: if you are interested in import a puppy from us please contact for more information. We will export puppies to established breeders and work with you to help your breeding program. Please review import requirements for your country.     

USA: We DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES who are under 3 months of age. Puppies can be flown in the cabin of airlines with the use of a Sherpa bag. We have had many owners pick up their puppy in this manner. We can even help with a flight nanny if you prefer not to fly. If you have questions or concerns please contact us. 

Delivery: We do at times offer delivery service with puppies being dropped off at your home or a designated meeting spot. Delivery is only available when we have multiple puppies going home to the same region.
